The old AE3 suite of websites had become bloated and outdated. I was tasked with updating the branding and streamlining the UX to bring the B2C & B2B sites ahead of their competitors.

AE3 consists of 2 B2B websites and 2 B2C sites, I needed to come up with a design system that served both purposes and reduced development time.
After research and discovery I was confident that a largely similar structure would work for both audiences with a minor facelift differentiating the two. The B2B websites had a few extra features that weren’t required for B2C but as the changes were all straight swaps in the design system it would not add much dev work to add the other features to B2C if ever requested.
AE3 offers a huge range of financial news daily and relies on advertising. We have all experienced news sites that go too heavy on ads so I saw this as an opportunity to do things the right way.
